Super Culture / June 2021 - Present

Working as Participation Officer for Super CultureI co-ordinate, plan and deliver creative sessions and projects in collaboration with communities from North Somerset. 

​

Since starting in 2021, I have planned and delivered theatre, visual art and music projects with various community groups including vulnerable adults, young refugees and SEND young people. 

​

I also continue to run Super Culture's core participation groups which includes our free weekly Youth Theatre sessions.

SEE Monster: Weathering Together / June 2022

Working alongside Sound Designer and Composer Joseff Harris I contributed to the creation of Weathering Together, which is an immersive audio piece that featured on New Substance's installation, SEE MONSTER.

​

Conducting interviews and creative sessions with community members around the subject of weather, I worked as an Assistant Director and Dramaturg alongside Joseff.

SEE Monster: ROAR! / June 2022

I was fortunate enough to work as the Project Director for ROAR! A climate parade in response to New Substance's art installation, SEE MONSTER.

​

Working in partnership with Theatre Orchard and IntoUniversity, ROAR! focused on empowering young people from under-represented backgrounds to voice their concerns about climate change, through visual art, movement and music sessions.

Light Up School Learning: Travelling Light / September 2021 - July 2023

Light Up School Learning is a 2 year project funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation.

 

I have been working directly with primary school teachers and pupils to implement creative activity into their everyday lessons, with a focus on helping to improve Oracy skills and the wellbeing and emotional literacy of young people.

Valley Arts: Youth Theatre / September 2021 - Present

In 2021, I was approached to work in partnership with Valley Arts to establish a Youth Theatre in Chew Valley

​

Now in it's second year, we are currently working towards our second production A Midsummer Nights Dream* (Sort of) which will be co-created and performed by over 30 young people aged 7-13 at Yeo Valley Farm.

Melksham Oak Community School / December 2020 - June 2021

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, I joined Melksham Oak Community School as a Teacher of Drama (Maternity Cover)

​

Whilst here, I worked as part of the Performing Arts department to plan and deliver lessons from a wide range of national examination boards to Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 students.

Manager of Stagecoach Arts Bristol Central /  September 2018 - Present

Since 2018, I have been the manager of Stagecoach Arts Bristol Central school. Within this role, I co-ordinate and lead 2 creative teams across 3 different schools to deliver dance, singing and acting lessons for young people aged 4-15.

As a part of this roleI co-ordinate and strategise with the Principal (Franchise Manager) to ensure the school is providing high quality extra curricular performance sessions and that the teaching staff are performing above and beyond the educational framework that Stagecoach strives towards.

Bristol Old Vic: Engagement Team /  September 2016 - 2022

After finishing the Made in Bristol programme, I joined the Engagement Team at Bristol Old Vic, assisting and delivering a wide variety of creative projects with communities across the city of Bristol. 

​

In 2018, I became a Young Company Leader, directing and co-creating alongside young people aged between 10-25.

Travelling Light: Youth Theatre /  September 2018 - February 2020

In 2018, I worked as a Musician and Composer for Travelling Light's showcase. 

​

After working with ActionSpeak, Travelling Light's weekly session for vulnerable SEND young adults, I then went on to lead weekly sessions for their 14-19 year old Youth Theatre. 

​

Today, I still continue to deliver Arts Days and creative sessions for Travelling Light on a freelance basis.
