Alright?
My name is Casey Lloyd and I'm a benefits-to-working class artist from the mighty city of Bristol. Since graduating from The London College of Music and the Made In Bristol Scheme at the Bristol Old Vic in 2016, I’ve worked as an Actor, Actor-musician, Director, Dramaturg, Facilitator and Writer.
My work has seen me work both nationally and internationally for organisations such as Disney, Bristol Old Vic, Cardboard Citizens, Theatre Orchard, Tobacco Factory Theatres and Travelling Light.
As an actor, I love diving deep into characters, bringing nuance and specificity to the roles I play. I believe in creating five dimensional characters, working collaboratively alongside creative teams and keeping a strong focus on the word 'play'.
As a theatre maker and director, the work I love to make fuses music, satire, theatre, film and spoken word to produce art that leaves an audience with a call to action. Something that shakes the audience, makes them feel alive and leaves them wanting to create positive change within the world in some way, shape or form. I particularly thrive in co-creating pieces of community theatre, putting the stories they wish to tell at the heart of the art.
As an audience member - I consume anything and everything. Live music, comedy, live art, one person shows, indie film, gritty dramas, rom-coms, trashy reality TV. You name it, I'll take it.
As a human being - I like to read, travel, go to the gym, volunteer and spend time with family and friends.
I particularly enjoy life when Bristol Rovers win.
